"My
background began in Commercial Art, painting, and Display
Art. In '84 my career took a new direction in video
production with a local company. I taught myself with
hands on experience editing and shooting. My appetite
for this medium increased, then I began thinking in
terms of video art imaging. This led to creation imagery
on video for a successful musical theatre show. Around
the same time I pursued an offer to travel with a 'techno'
band as their lighting and effects manager. I refined
my skills in lighting, color and pattern composition.
Two years later after living in hotel rooms and bus
breakdowns, I chose an assistantship with a NewYork
photographer Perry Jackson. I was (pardon the pun) 'en-lightened'
to studio photography and as my lighting techniques
grew, I was anxious to get out of the darkroom &
behind the camera. I have been shooting for 22 years
and have been unable to look at anyone or anything without
finding the Art in the composition, I find myself growing
and achieving more and more with each click of the shutter
Now that MAC COMPUTERS are #1 for grahics and video,
digital cameras are better than film new doors and challenges
